The Victorian Dental & Oral Health Therapist Association Inc. (VDOHTA) is a non-profit organization originally formed in the 1970’s by and for dental therapists, offering professional advice and support in Victoria.

During 2008 the name was formally changed to the Victorian Dental & Oral Health Therapist Association Inc. (VDOHTA) to recognize dual degree graduates, whose qualification incorporates dental therapy and dental hygiene thus being termed Oral Health Therapists.

VDOHTA is recognized as the peak professional body for dental and oral health therapists in the state, actively working towards raising the professional standing in pursuit of positive health outcomes for the community.

Membership Categories

Dental and Oral Health Therapists who are eligible to be registered with the Dental Board of Australia. Full members whose subscriptions are not in arrears shall be entitled to attend, speak, move and second motions and vote at all General Meetings of the Association.

Student members

Persons  undertaking a course of Dental or Oral Health Therapy.

Associate members

Persons with special interest in the development of Dental and Oral Health Therapy. Associate members shall be subject to Executive Committee approval.
